The MRS Surveyor with spraydeck belongs to the ultralight segment of the MRS range. It was developed with a view to reducing weight without sacrificing a streamlined design. In combination with the centered seating position, this ensures a balanced center of gravity and thus optimized performance when paddling. The speed is excellent for the weight class.
A special feature of the MRS Surveyor is the model made of white material, which reflects the sun's rays very well and absorbs less heat and therefore does not cause major fluctuations in air pressure.
Use
The boat is particularly suitable for long paddling tours on calm waters and is also a good choice for tours with a high proportion of land. The preferred areas of use include lakes, calm rivers or urban waters. The boat's white material really comes into its own on tours with longer periods in direct sunlight, such as on large open lakes.
Construction
The MRS Surveyor with spraydeck is part of the MRS StreamlineSL range. The relatively long waterline ensures good speed and acceleration, which are excellent touring characteristics.
In keeping with the original intention of lightweight construction, the new spraydeck is lighter and easier to stow. In addition, the centered seating position makes paddling even more comfortable.

When not in use, the spraydeck can be rolled up to the bow.
Spraydeck half open
If required, you can cover only the front of the boat with the spraydeck. This reduces water ingress during more dynamic paddling and the opening at the stern also provides ventilation and heat Dissipation.
Spraydeck completely closed
The application of the spraydeck on the front and back ensures all-round waterproofing and also has a heat-retaining effect, making it ideal for paddling in the cool season.
The ultra-light backrest made of breathable mesh provides even support for the back. The backrest can be adjusted at several points, making the packraft suitable for paddlers of different sizes. Thanks to the central positioning of the seat, luggage can also be stowed behind the back.
The packraft has an integrated bracket (fitting/soft mount) for attaching a removable fin/skeg, which ensures increased directional stability and speed. A small fin (mini fin) is included in the scope of delivery. A larger and more effective fin with a flat profile (Anfibio Skeg) can be added as an option.
Material and repair
The Surveyor with spraydeck is primarily made of tightly woven, tear-resistant 210D nylon with a matt and scratch-resistant urethane coating. Tubes and floor are coated on one or both sides to varying degrees and have an adhesive finish. The bond is very reliable and even exceeds the strength of the material.
The following applies to the white-colored model: light-colored materials turn yellow more easily in long-term use than other colors when exposed to ultraviolet rays. For this reason, proper care should be taken to prevent yellowing. In addition, the material is extremely resistant to ageing and cold elasticity across all model variants.
In the (unlikely) event of a repair, we recommend the Anfibio LifePatch repair kit, a special tape for quick repairs on the go. Small perforations can also be treated with small amounts of Aquasure (liquid PU). If more extensive damage occurs, this can be repaired at home or in our workshop using replacement material and contact adhesive.
Development and manufacture
The MRS Surveyor with spraydeck is a development of our long-standing partner and cooperation brand MRS (Micro Rafting System). Series production in the Far East is carried out in small, hand-made batches (manufacturing method). All products have an extended warranty of three years.
