The GP Cargo is a voluminous, wide and therefore buoyant and capsize-proof packraft. The wide bow is suitable for transporting bicycles or other bulky cargo, which is particularly appreciated by bikerafters, fishermen, hunters, dog boaters and bushcrafters. Oversized paddlers are also grateful for the extra space without losing the manoeuvrability of a single.
Application
It is easy to paddle on mountain lakes, fjords, rivers and light white water. For classic packrafting (combined tours on land and water) the core requirement of a packraft - relatively low weight and pack size with adequate robustness - is well met. But also travelling with (small) children or using it as a dinghy for sailing are among the possibilities.
GP General Packraft
GP General Packraft is an independent and registered Packraft brand, which is manufactured in Asia. GP stands for solid and classic packrafts with good characteristics in terms of material, construction and workmanship. Before being included in the Anfibio Packrafting Store range the product quality was checked and tested by us. The data given are all verified. Our validation is marked directly on the boat (type designation, label/brand). GP in known for a variety of (re)brands under different names across Europe. The warranty period is three years.
Equipment
The Packraft has a large number of loops (14 in total) for attaching luggage, e.g. a
DeckPack, leashes or other equipment. It also has an integrated mount (fin mount/softmount) to accommodate a removable fin/skeg, which provides increased tracking and speed, thus increasing paddling efficiency.
Use
The packraft is inflated with a big nylon inflation bag, which attaches to the boat via a screw-in valve. Scoop up air and push it into the boat. Then top-off to full pressure with the twist lock mouth valve.
In the (unlikely) event of damage, we recommend the
Anfibio Life Patch. This allows permanent repairs in the field within a few minutes. Small perforations can also be treated with small amounts of
Aquasure.
Conclusion
A spacious, robust and reliable single packraft with plenty of room for luggage and for ventures with a high transport volume.
