Our Vertex paddle has undergone a complete redesign in 2021 ("Tour"). It retains the large blade surface and optimized shape, but has become significantly lighter and more attractive in the price-performance ratio. Furthermore, it can now be adjusted in both length and angle with a clamp lock.

The four-part paddle has a polished glass fibre shaft, which compared to coiled fibreglass improves hand contact and so helps avoid blisters. The robust nylon blades have a slight dihedral design to encourage a good catch and the fine edges enhance smooth paddling. Both blades and shaft are fibreglass reinforced so are fracture-proof. Drip rings are also included.

Use
The Anfibio Vertex Tour is made for touring in rivers and lakes. The blades are smaller than our Anfibio Smash so provide a softer stroke. If you have more powerful paddling needs we recommend the Anfibio Smash. Compared to the Anfibio Wave, the Vertex features a more blade area in use nevertheless, which more force, but also more tiring.

It’s good all-round, very light paddle offering good value.

Note
A paddle leash (add on) is only recommended for open water and currents without any class of white water, as well as for securing the paddle when landing and pausing.

Light weight (measuring at 888 grams) and compact four-piece construction make this a good hiking paddle. The construction quality is clearly focused on being light and inexpensive, thus it definitely shouldn't be taken to white-waters or used for harsh maneuvers. Excellent for leisurely paddling on lakes, ponds and slow flowing rivers.

The adjustable length and angle mechanism is the only part that needs a bit of thought and keeps it from getting a full score from me. The locking mechanism feels like it will be the first thing to break, and there's no indicator for repeatable paddle angle setting. While the inner shaft has angle markings (45, 60 and 75 degrees L/R, the outer shaft tube and lock have no alignment marks for reference when setting up.

Ich habe vor 3 Wochen das Vertex wegen seiner 225cm Länge gekauft.
Habe dafür 155€ bezahlt. Man fühlt sich irgendwie nicht gut wenn, das gleiche Produkt jetzt für 20% weniger über den Tisch geht. Zumal ich hier schon wegen nicht optimaler Beratung ein zu kurzes Paddel gekauft habe....
Zum Vertex selbst...Funktion soweit prima...aber mich stört bei der Einstellung auf 225cm ,der freiliegende Glassfaserkern. Abhilfe könnte ein beigelegtes dünnwandiges Distance Röhrchen zum darüberschieben schaffen...
