Lightweight team Building
The Anfibio Sigma TXV is an ultralight packraft with amble space, perfect for extended backpacking trips and adventure races including easy flowing rivers and lakes together with partners, children, dogs or any other big load hauling, hence 'TX' for Team Cross.
Special edition with viewing window
The special edition "V" stands is for an integrated "Viewing" window at the bottom of the Packraft. This allows you to discover the underwater world while paddling. It makes the boat especially interesting for:
- Fish scouting while fishing
- Wreck and treasure hunt
- Fish observations with children
- Visual contact with divers
- Beaver monitoring
- Inspection of fishing nets, traps and underwater structures
- Underwater photography without water contact
- Access to the water world without whirling up sediments
- Excursions in geology, hydrology and biology
Special effect: The water pressure causes the viewing window to curve slightly inwards towards a magnifying glass.
Configuration and outfit
The inner dimension of the boat with a length of 160 cm and a width of 39 cm offers enough space up to two, but the outer dimensions are compact: the tube diameter tapers to 27 cm at the side, the bow and stern (symmetrical) have a diameter of 50 cm. The parallel hull has a width of 93 cm with a total length of 260 cm.
The Anfibio Wideseat with integrated backrest (which can be reduced if space is required) matches the boat. A second seat can be puchased optional. The front seat has a variable position (backward or forward). However, to save weight and space one can also use baggage for seating (like dry bags, sleeping mats). The seats can also be
bought separately and there are other options too.
In front of the rear seat is the 30x30 cm viewing window, so that you can look into the water without any problems even while paddling. Even when going tandem, the view is not covered by the second seat.
There are 6 tie-downs (2 at the stern, 4 at the bow) for example to secure luggage, to provide grab loops or to fasten a
DeckPack.
Material and workmanship
The Anfbio Sigma TXV is made of special fabric (210/420 urethane nylon), which has a high tear and abrasion resistance despite its low weight. The smooth and shiny surface of the tube's coating is particularly scratch resistant.
All the boat’s seams are fully welded and the tube seams are additionally sewn, making it a completely glue free construction. This saves weight, costs and the environment! We grant an extended 3-year warranty on materials and workmanship.
In its special edition, a viewing window made of transparent TPU film is additionally welded into the floor. You should not directly step on it when getting on board, because the TPU film has some stretch. Otherwise the abrasion resistance of the TPU film is identical to the boat's coating.
A special feature are the reinforced lower front and rear tube segments with panels of floor fabric to ensure higher robustness when having ground contact. However, as an ultralight boat, it should still be treated with the necessary care, especially when fully loaded.
Application
The Sigma TXV is a true backpacking boat. Due to the interior space, it suits well to share it with a partner. Dog owners, hunters, fishermen and sailors will like it as a very large single boat for transporting very big loads.
In the special edition with viewing window, the ultra-light boat is suitable not only for use on trekking tours, adventures and excursions into calm and easy flowing waters, but above all for tours with children to discover the unique underwater landscapes.
- Easy river travel
- Expeditions and adventure races
- Trekking with river sections
- Geocaching
- Sailing (dinghy)
Since the model does not feature a spray skirt and has a smaller tube diameter, it is not recommended for white water, especially when paddled by two.
Use
No inflatable is indestructible of course, but in the (unlikely) event of sustaining damage, repairs can be done within a few minutes in the field with
LifePatch (in case of the viewing window better transparent
Patch`n Go), which bonds well to the urethane surface. Small pinholes can be sealed with
Aquasure, a liquid urethane sealant.
